West Orange is a historic suburb 15 miles from Manhattan with lots of open space and old-fashioned charm. Known for both its historical and cosmopolitan appeal, the township features a myriad of housing options from magnificent mansions to smaller homes, as well as upscale, full-service residential townhouses with breathtaking views of the Watchung Mountain ridges and Manhattan skyline.

There’s always something to do in West Orange. The town is home to nationally known Turtle Back Zoo and education center. It also boasts spectacular views of South Mountain and Eagle Rock reservations, six golf courses, 12 beautiful public parks, four public tennis courts, an outdoor amphitheater, a dine-in multiscreen movie theater, a state-of-the art pool and recreation complex, and skating arena with two rinks. The town is home to Llewelyn park, a 400-acre neighborhood and the oldest gated planned community in the United States.

A thriving downtown, led by the Orange Alliance, is to go-to for more than 30 shops and small businesses, cuisine from around the world and the historic Thomas Edison National Museum.  There are five shopping districts serving area residents, including the centrally located Essex Green Shopping Center.

The highly-rated education system is comprised of 11 public schools.
